The Critics Square Foot Floor
So I thought it would be nice to have a little section where constructive criticism was encouraged in every comment. I ask that only posts with critique in them be posted. Normal flaunting of art should be presented in a new topic rather than posted here. Because there isn’t a real section for this, I figured people can just post links to specific pieces from where ever their gallery is (whether it be anime, surreal, photography, etc) and ask for critique. That or a new topic!

It’s not like I’m forcing you to use this topic. But if you are going to use this square foot, some general guidelines are necessary. Sorry if it seems long.
Posting art:1) When receiving critique, please handle it professionally. No hidden insults and such if replying.
2) Even people who aren’t artists may critique your work. Just because they aren’t inclined to working on art themselves doesn’t mean their opinion is any less valued than another artist, so no comments such as “You don’t even draw, what do you know?!” or something. We all have the general ability to see errors in art that the artist may not have noticed.
3) If you plan to post several pieces at once please label them. Even if the piece isn’t named, at least number them so critics can easier express which work they’re critiquing. This way people can also differentiate an old post from a new one as well.
4) Try not to get offended.
Posting Criticism:1) Posts of constructive criticism only! I ask that people refrain from writing short compliments or comments such as “It’s nice” or “It’s so cool!”. This is the
Critics Square foot of the art Corner.
2) Be polite! Insults and derogatory remarks are neither constructive nor necessary.
3) Spellcheck and proper grammar usage in all critiques is nice, but at the least make sure what you write is understandable.
4) When posting a critique, please mention the name of the artist so as to avoid confusion.
5) If you are critiquing a single artist but several of their works, please use each artworks name or what ever their labels are to avoid confusion. I recommend stating the artist name and dividing the post with each pieces name/label.
6) If you plan to critique several different people in a single post, please separate it into sections and label each section with the names of the artists you are critiquing. Art labels recommended.
7) Try not to be offensive.
